✨ New to cruising?

It’s the ultimate way to see the world while only unpacking once. Cruising is trending because it combines incredible value with effortless travel—offering dining, entertainment, and multiple destinations in one seamless trip. For the best experience, just remember to book your excursions early, pack a first-day carry-on, and let us help you pick the perfect ship for your style!

Do I need a passport to cruise?

It depends on where you're cruising, but we always recommend it.

Here's the quick breakdown:

U.S. Citizens Cruising Roundtrip from a U.S. Port

If your cruise starts and ends in the same U.S. port (like a roundtrip from Miami, Seattle, or Honolulu), you may not need a passport. A government-issued photo ID and original birth certificate are typically accepted. These are called closed-loop cruises. However, having a passport is strongly recommended. If you miss the ship in a foreign port or need to fly home unexpectedly, a passport makes things much easier.

🌍 Cruises That Start or End Outside the U.S.

If your cruise begins or ends in a foreign country (like Vancouver, Barcelona, or San Juan), you’ll need a valid passport. No exceptions.

🧒 Traveling with Kids

Children under 16 on closed-loop cruises can travel with just a birth certificate. But again, a passport is always the safest option.
